Morning Pages: Therapeutic Discovery to Start the Day

This is a technique to increase self awareness, insight, and creativity.  I first started practicing this as part of a creative writing class taught by Amelia Barili.  She called it morning pages:

  • The moment you wake up, grab a notebook
  • Fill 3 pages with whatever comes to mind
  • Do not censure your thoughts
